Parker Heath - Summer in Spain

Kali Rider Parker Heath spent a quick two weeks this summer in Spain, riding bikes and living large. Below is a snapshot of what riding BMX oversees was like for Parker.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to cap off an amazing summer this year!

I started off this two-week adventure in Malaga, Spain, for the final stop of the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series. It was such a privilege to have been included on the pro tour at almost all of the stops this year, creating priceless memories and new friendships with the best of the BMX family.

The event course in Malaga, Skatepark Ruben Alcantara, is in my opinion, the best concrete park there is, hands down. Getting to shred this work of art everyday, while enjoying the beauty of the coastal Spanish town, that is Malaga. It doesn’t get much better!

After the contest wrapped up, a few friends and I took the impromptu mission over to Tangier, Morocco. The second we hopped off the ferry on the north African coast, we were immediately immersed in some of the biggest culture shock we’ve experienced yet!

Exploring through the unique maze of markets, one of a kind food and nightlife, and hanging out with camels on the beach. The mission to Morocco was definitely worth the effort!

Finally, before we caught our flights back home, we knew we had to make the most of our time in Barcelona. As we planned to fly out of this city, it forced us to finally make our first visit to this magnificent town of street riding and beautiful weather. We rode non stop all day every day, pedaling this massive city, and riding so many unreal street spots to count... while staying up all night indulging in the super fun night scene of BCN.

Sharing the last couple weeks of summer with nonstop laughs, classic memories, and the best of BMX riding, with my friends, was all-time!!
